Cannabis consumption can lead to a dependence of cannabis in a part of the consumers and elevates the risk of psychosis. On the other hand the therapeutic use of cannabis is discussed for diseases as multiple sclerosis or as an analgeticum. As so far little is known about the neurotoxic properties of cannabis, we want to perform a MR-spectroscopy in cannabis users and correlate the result with neuropsychologic tests and measurements of cannabinoids in the urine and hair of cannabis consuming individuals.
