The DFG (German Research Community) promoted project (HE 2748/2-1) about "Regional brain lesions in neuroimaging diagnostics and differentiated psychological investigations in their meaning for diagnostics and differential diagnostics of the dementias".
Special and personnel aid were granted by the DFG for this project.

  • Besides, with radiological methods a contribution is made for the entry and quantification of somatic modifications in psychiatric research specifications.
  • Neuroimaging diagnostics of the dementia with special sequences of the Amygdala and hippocampale region in the Computed Tomography and in MRI (Memory clinic, F. A. Henn).
  • Quantification of viscerale fat in a depression-project (M. Deuschle, M. D.). The data-compilation for this project has been done by a specific analysis program.
  • Quantification of viscerale fat, bone density and amount of muscle at patients with therapy with different neuroleptika (M. Deuschle, Ph.D.)
  • Quantification of viscerale fat and screening of Osteoporosis at patients with Anorexia nervosa (Clinic of Child and Youth Psychiatry, M. H. Schmidt). By Using a specific modified program we do have the possibility to determine both variables in one layer with minimum radiation exposure. Patients are examined before and after a successful therapy.
  • Volumetric analysis and spectroscopy at Anorexia nervosa (Clinic of Child and Youth Psychiatry, M. H. Schmidt)
  • Systematic organisation for the neuroradiological classification of patients and central evaluation of MR studies in a European-wide study about pharmacological and therapeutical effects to dementia. (Sponsored by Industry PR.Nr. 523001.01.025).
  • Quantitative diagnostics which are using methods of the chaos theory (not at present time).
