Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy

According to the agreement about the case-management of the child and adolescent psychiatric departments in Baden-Württemberg the department offers outpatient and inpatient treatment for the whole spectrum of child and adolescent psychiatric diseases for the region of Mannheim.

Therapeutic conception
By the renaming of the department for child and adolescent psychiatry in department for psychiatry and psychotherapy for children and adolescents in 1994, the changed understanding of the subject as it is reflected in the new medical specialist regulation becomes obvious. In it the psychotherapy is integrated into the further clinical therapy.

The therapeutic conception of the department cannot be defined by particular therapeutic schools. However, there is a behaviour therapeutic consent in many fields.
