Training Components
To obtain the licence to practice as a child and adolescent psychotherapist, proof of having completed at least 4,200 hours in the following training components must be submitted:

The remaining 930 hours are called „Supplementary Studies“. These can be completed by the following activities:

Training is offered both as three-year full-time training and as five-year on-the-job training. The later can be taken while working. During the full-time training it is not recommended to work additional jobs. Training has been finished as soon as all required training components are completed, including the final state examination.
