World Mental Health Day

On World Mental Health Day on October 10, we welcomed Wietse A. Tol, Professor of Global Mental Health at the University of Copenhagen, to give a lecture entitled “Full circle: A public mental health approach focused on multi-sectoral, integrated interventions”. Poverty, climate change, violence, and migration are among the most important factors that can affect mental well-being. At the invitation of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Reininghaus, Prof. Tol explained how preventive and supportive measures for mental health can be integrated into various areas of social action. He highlighted the role that interdisciplinary skills play in research to strengthen mental health. The full lecture and discussion can be viewed here.
