What is Open Science and what does the Open Science Office do?

Open science for all

Open Science stands for open, transparent and accessible science. The aim is to make research results, data - where possible under data protection law - and processes freely available to everyone in order to promote collaboration and share knowledge efficiently.

Our mission

The CIMH Open Science Office supports researchers in integrating open science practices into their everyday work. We offer:

  • Education & Advice - We explain why Open Science is important and the benefits it offers.
  • Knowledge sharing - We provide resources, guides and training.
  • Infrastructure & support - We help with implementation, e.g. onboarding new tools or platforms.
  • Exchange & community building - Our Open Science Café invites you to a regular exchange.
