Heinrich Lanz Award for Translational Research
An Award for excellent research on Mental Health
In 2025 – the fiftieth year of the existence of the Central Institute of Mental Health – the Heinrich Lanz Foundation will award the Heinrich Lanz Award for Translational Research to a researcher in the field of psychiatry for the first time.
The prize is to be awarded to an internationally renowned personality who has made an outstanding contribution to research in the field of mental health. The prize is endowed with prize money of EUR 100,000.
Award ceremony
The Heinrich Lanz Prize will be awarded as part of the celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the Central Institute of Mental Health on June 5, 2025.
We very much look forward to welcoming the prizewinner in person in Mannheim and to attending his or her opening lecture at the scientific symposium to mark the 50th anniversary.
The prize includes the costs for flight, accommodation, meals and supporting program.
Nominations
The Heinrich Lanz Award for Translational Research in Psychiatry is awarded on the basis of nominations. Please send nominations to heinrich-lanz-award (at) heinrich-lanz-stiftung.de
Nominations should outline the nominee's significance and exceptional achievements in their field of research and include a current CV, list of publications and external funding. Please note that self-nominations are not possible.
