About me
I joined the lab of Valery Grinevich for a laboratory internship during my Master studies over a year ago, and stayed to write my Master thesis in his lab and now to continue on with my PhD. During my Master thesis, I investigated the role of Oxytocin signalling in the insular cortex in the processing and perception of pain, more specifically the alterations in emotional valence towards painful stimuli. During my PhD I am now interested in further dissecting the interplay of pain perception and oxytocin in the context of reward and social interactions.
Stephanie holds a M.Sc. in Neuroscience from the University of Heidelberg and a B.Sc. in Biology from the LMU in Munich. She currently works as a PhD student in our team and is enrolled in the HBIGS graduate school.
