About me
Anastasia is a PhD student at the HITBR laboratory. She received her BA in Psychology, Neuroscience and Animal Behaviour from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, and her MSc in Interdisciplinary Neurosciences from Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Her master's thesis investigated the connectivity and functional role of oxytocin neurons in the vocalisation areas of the rat hindbrain. Her current PhD project involves modelling the cells of origin of glioblastoma tumours, screening drugs for treatment and cultivating cortical spheroids. Outside of the laboratory, Anastasia enjoys hiking and creating art.
