About me
I am a psychotherapist, specialized in cognitive behavioral therapy, and former competitive rower. Throughout my athletic career, I encountered and observed among fellow athletes a variety of sport-specific challenges that can significantly influence both performance and psychological well-being. These experiences have deepened my interest in promoting mental health in athletes.
At the Central Institute of Mental Health (CIMH), Mannheim, I am currently working on my PhD, focusing on mental health in athletes, with particular emphasis on mental health literacy in competitive sports. My goal is to help equip athletes with the knowledge and tools to strengthen their mental health and wellbeing – not only in times of crisis, but also preventively. In addition to my research, I provide psychotherapy at ZIMH, supporting athletes who are facing mental health challenges.
