About me

Since January 1, 2026, I have been working as a research associate in the Department of Neuropsychology and Psychological Resilience Research, where my work focuses on participatory research approaches and qualitative methods. I am currently pursuing my PhD in health sociology. In my doctoral research, I examine how people with borderline personality disorder use Instagram Stories to develop forms of self-protection, meaning-making, and resistance under conditions of culture-industry–driven subjectivation. A particular focus of my work lies in the critique of neoliberal health care systems and the dynamics of doctor–patient interactions.

Julia holds an MA in Sociology from Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and a BA in Teacher Education for Secondary Schools in English and Social Sciences.
