Peter Kirsch new President of the DGPA

The members of the German Society for Psychophysiology and its Application (DGPA) have elected Prof. Dr. Peter Kirsch, Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology at the CIMH, as their new President. The term of office is two years.

In addition to Kirsch, further board members were appointed for the years 2024 and 2025: Prof. Dr. Matthias Gamer (University of Würzburg, Vice President), Prof. Dr. Stefan Berti (University of Mainz, Treasurer) and Prof. Dr. Daniela Mier (University of Konstanz, Secretary). The board also includes Dr. Maria Meier (University of Konstanz) as a representative of the young members. The professional society was founded in 1982 as an association in Giessen and promotes scientific research into the interaction of physiological, psychological and social processes. The aim of the DGPA is also to further develop and improve biopsychological and psychophysiological research methods and to promote the application of psychophysiological methods in practice.
