Job profile

The dual study programme ‘Nursing B.Sc.’ offers you the opportunity to study for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and train as a nurse at the same time. This gives you the opportunity to carry out practical tasks alongside your theoretical and scientific training and to familiarise yourself with our clinics.

Career prospects

After completing your studies/training, you will have the ideal prerequisites for a career in the healthcare sector. Here you can expect tasks ranging from nursing to management. The doors are also open to you for a Master's degree and possibly a doctorate.

Prerequisite

General higher education entrance qualification or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences. You will also have a provisional acceptance letter from the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society.

Duration of the programme / degree

The degree programme ends after successful completion of 8 semesters with the title Bachelor of Sci-ence (B.Sc.) Nursing and the qualification as a nursing specialist (m/f/d).

Contents

Your tasks during your practical assignments in areas such as psychiatry, inpatient acute and long-term care, outpatient care and paediatrics are varied: you will learn to draw blood, assist patients with their personal hygiene or assist with medical examinations. You will also learn to be a listener, companion and confidant for patients.

During the theoretical phases, you will attend the co-operating Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences for Business and Society. During the various lectures and seminars, you will learn the basics for your training, including the topics of diabetes, chronic wounds and dementia.
