Ammar Jabali

Ammar earned his BSc in Biology in Hanover and his MSc in Molecular Biomedicine in Münster. His PhD thesis focuses on modelling and investigating the development of human cortical malformations using iPSC-derived cerebral organoids, in particular the development of subcortical heterotopia induced by mutations in EML1.

While currently his main interest lies on finishing his PhD, he dedicates a part of his lab time to develop models for organoid-glioblastoma interactions and paediatric choroid plexus neoplasms. Whenever possible, a solid amount of his salary is reinvested into music concerts and festivals across most genres and good wine (of course!).
