The overall goal of the project is to better understand the neuronal mechanisms of heterospecific play anticipation and oxytocin’s role in the mPFC by
- Characterizing the dynamics of neuronal activity in the mPFC during heterospecific play
- Investigating the functional integration of the mPFC circuitry
- Investigating the role of certain interneurons in heterospecific play anticipation
- Examining the effects of habituation on oxytocin signaling and heterospecific play anticipation
