About me
Over a year ago, I joined Valery Grinevich's lab for a laboratory internship during my Master's degree. I then stayed to write my Master's thesis in his lab, and I am now continuing with my PhD. For my Master's thesis, I investigated the role of oxytocin signalling in the insular cortex in processing and perceiving pain, specifically alterations in emotional valence towards painful stimuli. For my PhD, I am interested in further investigating the relationship between pain perception and oxytocin in the context of reward and social interactions.
Stephanie holds an MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Heidelberg and a BSc in Biology from LMU Munich. She is currently a PhD student working in our team and is enrolled in the HBIGS graduate school.
