Antonella Daresta

About me

In March 2024, I joined Valery Grinevich’s lab as a trainee to work on my Master's thesis project. I then stayed on as a PhD student, continuing my work in the Maternal Care Group.

My research focuses on cortical plasticity in the context of maternal care, particularly the role of oxytocin in these mechanisms. My current research involves investigating these processes using viral approaches and in vivo electrophysiology. I am also interested in further uncovering how the oxytocin cortical circuit is shaped during maternal behaviour.

Antonella holds an MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Trieste and a BSc in Biology from the University of Bari. She is currently a PhD student working in our team.
